General Information

The remaining five species of rhinoceros are native to southern Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, and most of the five species are considered endangered. The family of rhinoceros is characterised by the following:

The most prized characteristic of the rhinoceros is it's horn. The horn is made up of roughly the same matter as the human fingernails, and it is formed out of thickly matted hair which grows from the skull of the rhino. This horn has no skeletal support whatsoever, so it is not considered a "true" horn.
